Welcome to the first installment of the SKUSA Mountain Region’s “Driver of the month” profile. Heading in to the month of August, and the half way mark of the inaugural SKUSA MR season, Colorado SKUSA racers set their sights on round 3 of the SKUSA MR, at the beautiful Grand Junction Motor Speedway in Grand Junction Colorado. While any racer or team who travels to GJMS for a race on the western slope will tell you how much they enjoy the facilities and the smooth flowing race track, will also tell you how much they enjoy the racers who call GJMS their home track. One of those friendly faces who is always willing to lend a hand in the pits is S4 racer Jet Davis. Jet pilots the #22 CZR CRG, and is SKUSA Mountain Region’s first “Driver of the month”.

How did you get started in karting?: Darren and Stacy Cook wouldn't let me leave the race track until I drove their karts. I was hooked after that.

How would you describe your driving style?: I try to be CLEAN AND SMOOTH.

What do you think could be done to improve the sport of karting?: Stay away from the politics. Everybody work together.
Why do you race?: Its fun. Also to support everybody so the kids can learn how to drive. (We are going to be on the streets with them someday.)
